Das Welt ? It's not worth anything
We bought a VW Golf Match Blue Motion from this dealership, the model was exactly what we wanted so we paid the price, not the dearest, but a proper retail price.
The salesman was courteous and efficent although some of the paper work was mixed up.
He mentioned that a customer satisfaction form would come to us after three weeks and could we please give them a good review as they got fined £100 if it wasn't good.
After four days the battery died, we took it to our nearest VW dealer who said it wasn't covered by warranty; cost £250 Lookers Blackburn said they would repay us if we laid out the money, this they did, so far so good.
After a month the engine was cutting out regularly, diagnosed and repaired out, the Exhaust Gas Recirculator was completely clogged, we had covered 400 miles out of a total of 43000.
It was replaced under warranty at a cost of over £1000.
No customer satisfaction form has been received, so I asume two things.
Firstly, they didn't give the car the nationally advertised "Das Welt" inspection, which I think isdishonest
Secondly, given our specific experience, they fill the satisfaction survey themselves . (Lookers Blackburn proove me wrong)
Both these problems would have been picked up if the checks had been carried out.
I'll be sending a copy of this to the salesman
