BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE!!!! Bought a Toyota Corolla GY56 ZPP from Select Cars of Bristol. On the drive home the engine warning light came on together with the vehicle stability light and traction control light. As the dealer had closed for the evening we managed to get car home and telephoned them first thing next morning. Spoke to the 'boss' Joe and, despite being within our rights under the Consumer Act 2015, to ask for a refund due to the car not being 'fit for purpose', and with faults, he refused!! After more arguing, and obviously realising that we were within our rights, he very reluctantly agreed to a refund but with his terms (He spat his dummy out!!!) . However, we had to bear the cost of transporting the car back from home to Bristol (about 95 miles) at a cost of £261.30p. Also, when Joe due the refund he deducted £200 for 'regeneration costs' and a further £100 ' credit card charge. My credit card company have since advised me that this charge should not have been made by the dealer. We would certain

Simple explanation to a long story. Put deposit down on a car at “select cars of Bristol” wasn’t told the car had any issues, put deposit down. Had the AA out to inspect to be shown and told over 25 advisory’s and the inspector said it was the worst example of a car he has seen. It was deemed as dangerous and not road worthy. WARNING DODGY DEALERS!
