KIA (definitely Killed in Action)
Had bought a KIA from the company expecting it to last for more than one year however due to several issues: engine management light turning on whilst on the M4 to home, bald tire when shown to a local mechanic, and over the period of a year, found out that the engine (piston 2) was filling up with oil which is what was causing it to smoke, and after double checking the emissions test which we were concerned with, found to be over the required threshold, we tried from the very beginning to try and get our money back from this business.
We were willing to return the vehicle at the initial stage however were met with refusal and whilst offered inadequate service via the local mechanic, were told that the business owner was away on holiday.
Since enacting the consumer rights through legal channels, we have politely spoken to the business to get our money back, however was met with threatening behaviour “bring it on, I will f***ing smash your head in”.
