Dealers response
When the car was reported as faulty we dispatched a mechanic, at the earliest convenience for both this customer and ourselves, to try to fix it. When he could not fix it at her home he recovered the car to our workshop. We attempted to repair the car and when this fault could not be fixed we arranged a refund. The customer INSISTED that we took the refund to her home in Dover, about 40 miles distance, which we duly effected. The customer was unable to give us the V5C as she claimed not to have received it yet. After 3 more weeks had elapsed we telephoned her and left a voicemail asking for the document, there was no response at all. The following day we sent her a text message to the same effect and once again received no response. About 10 days later we visited her address where once again she claimed not to have received the document. The following day we contacted DVLA and arranged for a duplicate to be sent to her in order that she could obtain a refund on the tax and left a voicemail advising her of this. Again NO RESPONSE has been received and neither have we had the document returned to us. Our terms and conditions state that warranty is only offered when the full asking price is paid.
