Illegal car sold

I bought a 04 plate Range Rover which I was assured was serviced, everything functioning and in good order.

I found out immediately that there were a few issues so 10 days after purchase booked the car into the Basingstoke Range Rover main dealer.

The list of faults is long, but includes illegal brakes and illegal tyres.

Bill, £2600 to fix what has been found so far.

So, my advice would be, avoid Kempshott Cars unless you have very deep pockets!

Contacted the dealer for comment but was totally ignored.

Deal with these people at your own risk!!!!

I will never deal with anyone other than a main dealer again. Lesson learnt. An expensive one!

Fantastic service high quality cars
So impressed with Kempshott Cars - dealt with Vince who was really helpful and not at all pushy. They have been established for over 25 years and it's not hard to see why. Recently purchased a 320d m sport and feel confident in the quality of the car and importantly feel that Vince will look after us in the future. Not a feeling always associated with car dealers. 1st Class Cars and Service
Firstly you would be hard pushed to find a secondhand forecourt with as many well looked after cars. I've recently bought a Jeep from Vincent and I'm delighted with it. The car is in exceptional condition for its age and the little nicks etc that I picked up on have been addressed with not a single hesitation! Disregard previous review from me (Illegal car sold) - not really a fair review so read this as well
After discussion the dealer agreed to fix the faults for no cost and get the car a 12 month MOT. Very reasonable. I should have checked that all was OK before buying the car so am at least partially responsible. So I would take the average between the two reviews as a fair assessemt.
