I bought a car in May, the biggest regret was I wished I’d listened to the bad reviews! He will give promise everything until he has your money which is when he will not care. However, I took precautions which I’m so glad I did. Firstly I arranged an independent inspection of the car which hi-lighted several issues including an exhaust blowing, missing wheel bolts, pitted & worn brake disks, damaged tyre etc all agreed to repair, incl a full mot, service and written on the deposit receipt and agreement of sale, so in good faith I paid £400 deposit by credit card. The following week, they rang to say they had to do the rear brake disks and the rest had been repaired. So to ensure I had it in writing I made sure he confirmed by email. This is where the lies began - oh and before you try to reply by blaming incompetent driving, slander or anything else - remember i have the evidence to back this up in court!
On delivery of the car, it was obvious the exhaust was still blowing and hadn’t
